The Island is approximately 65km long and 25km wide and has an abundance of wild life. The bird life is plentiful with species like the ringneck pheasants, peacock, turkeys, mutton birds and penguins, are just a few that you can experience. There are also larger quantities of wallabies and possums. Go fishing on the nearby jetty or explore 145 kilometres of coastline and beaches. You can taste delicious cheeses at the King Island Dairy or more unusual delicacies at Australia's only kelp factory in Currie.
